STOP 5: Spectacular Spectacular

The intention of our group is to explore the concept of Travel in relation to Portable art, through the engagement of portable art. As the class project is based in a public environment, our group was forced to consider how we would present our art in a non-gallery context. By utilizing postcards, our artwork will be transported by convenient means, supporting our theme of Travel. Removing our artwork from the context of a gallery environment, and forcing it into a public arena make our drawings made more accessible and approachable for the public. By doing so we hope to test avenues where we can non-invasively promote our art in a public space, to test the public’s reaction and possible interest in our work.
