Stop 3

Stop 3: Why can't the human body be a vehicle?

Cardborard, paint.
Assorted dimensions.
Artists: Ebony Horn, Riley Gilloway, James Mulholland, Jack Roylance
Time: Monday the 28th of May

The constraints of congestion and environmental concern have forced Brisbane city to take steps to diversify its methods of transportation. In order to stimulate this process it has become necessary to impel those who commute to advocate sustainable travel alternatives though advertising or public brochure campaigns. Fascinated by this potential of the ‘human body as a vehicle’, our group wishes to explore the processes by which Brisbanites are compelled to travel by foot or by bicycle. By emulating these campaigns in a short performance upon the goodwill bridge we hope to gain an insight into both the process and reaction regarding this brave step towards an environmentally sustainable future.
